A note from Ginny

Hey there! Prior to launching Froufrou Chic with Heather Cowie, I was a destination wedding planner and stylist. While I still style for workshops and brands, I love being here in the studio working with our production team and making sure our brides and vendors have an informed and loving shopping experience. For that reason, we wanted to include a guide for styling with Froufrou Chic. This includes where to find our styling ribbons, which ones are "Ginny Au favorites" and our best selling products. In addition to providing inspiration, I have some tips on selecting your ribbons. AND don't miss the section on personalized help with ribbon selection by me!

As a stylist, it is important to keep styling ribbon in my kit in a variety of colors. Our thin and wide mix bundles are a great way to have a variety of ribbons for shoots. These bundles include ribbons that are not in our regular inventory, providing you with more color and texture options. They are also perfect for styling paper goods and wrapping boutonnieres. Check out all the ways our clients use our ribbons on our Pinterest & Instagram accounts.

When picking bouquet ribbons, I normally start with a color family and then decide if I want to keep the ribbons monochromatic (all in the same family) or switch it up and add some complimentary hues. My new favorite thing to do with bouquets is add a thin 3 yard length ribbon in a slightly contrasting color to the other 2.5 inch or 4 inch ribbons. I would love to see this used more in the styling and floral world. And don't forget to add in some texture, these make the most yummy bouquets.

Finally, make sure to have a pair of hair straighteners to press your ribbons. I keep a pair in my styling kit and they are a lifesaver on keeping your ribbons pressed during a long shoot days or repressing after use. XX

Ribbon Mix Bundles

Our mixed ribbon bundles are made especially for vendors and crafters.  We now offer two types; our thin ribbon mix bundles and our wide ribbon mix bundles. These collections give you more variety in color and texture. The length of each piece is shorter (between half to a full yard) thus allowing for more options for styling and crafting projects.
